Norman '91

Mine and Annie Mo Bannie's 2nd Agility Competition. The USDAA test in Norman, OK hosted by the Sooner Agility Club in November of 1991. The Friday night drive from Dallas to Norman was terrifying through the Arbuckle Mountains. It came a great thunderstorm, pouring buckets of rain across the highways. The semi trucks were pulled over to the side, but Paul trudged on, hydroplaning and scaring the living begeebers out of me. We arrived in one piece. I don't recall the hotel at all, but the odiferous livestock barn could never be forgotten by those who were there. The judge was Sharon Nelson, and I had a video cam by this time! Those who were there will likely recall the milk crate jump, and the barn cats that strolled through to watch.

The most memorable thing about that show was the *smell* in the barn! As I recall, they said that was the fair barn where the pig shows were held. Whatever, I've never smelled any thing like it before, or since! If I close my eyes I can still smell that smell... Thanks for all the strolls down memory lane. Virginia and Sooty
