WYSIWYG's Twice As Nice K  "Tank"

I discovered agility a few years ago and decided that I wanted to give it a try with my Great Dane "Tank". Now Tank is not a very feminine name for a lovely blue female, however, it was more of an attitude than a name. Tank was always known for doing what she wanted when she wanted. She was very smart but also quite stubborn at times. She twice flunked basic obedience because she "chose" not to obey the stay command. I started training her in novice agility when she was nearly 7 years old. This is considered old for giant breeds. She took to it instantly and would run the courses all by herself if you let her.  I always felt the clock ticking but wanted to be the first Veteran Dane to earn an agility title.  Well we missed that milestone but I was thrilled with her performance. I only made it to 7 trials with her but earned 2 legs with placements during those trials.  It was at a trial when I noticed something wasn't quite right with her. A few days later she was diagnosed with liver cancer which had already spread throughout her body. Just 2 weeks before she was diagnosed she had a clean run in her first JWW trial with a time of 26 seconds, earning her a third place. Not bad for a veteran Great Dane! Tank was euthanized just days after her 8th birthday. She truly is an angel and I miss her terribly.
