I Paid My Money!
I can't resist...
I PAID MY MONEY!
I paid my money. I deserve a perfect crating space right by the ring entrance. My dog only barks and lunges when other dogs get within 20 feet,
but I paid my money, so I get to put her where I want. I tune out the
barking anyway, I don't see what people's problem is--some people are just too uptight.
I paid my money, so I get to bring an ex-pen and set it up for my Corgi.
Okay, she's a little protective of her space, but I couldn't possibly crate
her, it would hurt her psyche. And sure I know the club said no expens, but I paid my money!
I paid my money, so I shouldn't have to get up at 6:00 a.m. for an 8:00 a.m. run. Make the Novice people run first thing in the morning, I want to sleep
in!
I paid my money. Why should *I* ever volunteer? That's the club's job right? I want to relax and have fun. Sitting in the sun straightening a stupid
chute? That's not fun, and I paid my money, so why work?
I paid my money, and I'll get to the start line when I darn well please. So
what if I delay the trial a minute or two. So what if the judge is on her
feet all day, nobody FORCED her to come judge did they? My precious Widdims can't possibly run unless I wait till the previous dog has left, go out to
the line at as slow a walk as possible, scratch her ears, unbuckle her collar, take her collar off in such a way that it never passes before her
eyes, place the collar and leash behind me so close that the leash runner
has to wait till I'm halfway across the ring to pick it up, scritch her ears
again, kiss her 3 times on the nose, Stand still for 30 seconds and review
the course, then lead out.
I paid my money! I deserve my own personal copy of each and every course map, available at least 5 hours before I run. I must have at least 20
minutes to walk each course. I must never, ever, have a conflict of any type in any ring for any reason. I can't possibly know more than one course, and
so, yeah, I have 4 dogs, but the club better find a way to accommodate me so I never have to know more than one course, because I just can't manage
that and after all, I paid my money!
I paid my money, so this trial better be over by 2:00 because I have to
drive home. And the food better be great and only cost a dollar, and it
better not rain, and my dog better Q, and...........................
I PAID MY MONEY!!!
